We were selected to work with Hampshire Wildlife Services to deliver creative interpretations for the brand new visitor centre at Barnfield in the beautiful River Hamble Country Park. A very exciting eco project with the new centre being built using climate friendly materials including wood harvested from inside the park and 90 solar panels installed on the roof creating clean energy to power the building. It was therefore a priority that all materials used for the project were compliant to the sustainable standards the rest of the project had used and reflect the contemporary, natural theme of the barn and convey the climate friendly message.
The interpretation design needed to excite and engage a diverse and wide age range of visitors and encourage the exemplar of the project into everyday life by highlighting eco focused choices. We chose a mixture of materials for the project to compliment the design of the building and help to create a balance of storytelling and eco messaging including unique printed wooden substrates in custom shapes and sizes.
